We're sorry if you missed our prior events, but rest assured, Team Kenny will not stop working to raise money for diabetes research until a cure is at hand; we've raised about $6,300 to date. That said, we have a few cool events coming this year!

Second Annual Ambassadors' Ride to Fight Diabetes
NEW DATE AND TIME!!!

- Trail's Edge Cyclery in Milford, Michigan
- Start Time between 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
- NEW FOR 2011 -- Ride the scenic Milford Trail and then switch over to the trail at Kensington MetroPark
- Refreshments provided - donuts, bagels, Gatorade, water, cookies, peanut butter sandwiches
- Trail's Edge Bike Shop opens at 11:00 AM
- $10 contribution per adult
Come join Team Kenny, Pirating for a Cure and Savannah's Silver Pedalists and many others to raise money to fight diabetes. Past and current Tour de Cure Michigan ambassadors will be there. We may even have some media coverage this year!

American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure - June 2011

Team Kenny's signature event! About a thousand riders will be out and about, riding from 10 to 100 miles, to support those with diabetes. There is food from Carabbas at the end (the food is incredible, by the way), and it will be a rockin' good time!
All Tour de Cure riders must raise a minimum of $200.

Ride For Kenny - Tour de Cure Training Ride
On April 11th, 24 riders joined Team Kenny in raising money for diabetes. We biked on Hines Drive, leaving Trails Edge Cyclery in Plymouth. The riders enjoyed donuts, cookies, lemonade and various other snacks, on top of riding on one of the best roads in Metro Detroit for cyclists. The weather wasn't great, but there were not too many complaints! Thanks to all who participated, including Anika Halladay, the manager for Tour de Cure in Metro Detroit.

Team Kenny Bowling Fundraiser - Spring "Bowl-a-Thon" at Plaza Lanes

We had fun - too bad you weren't there! Pizza, soda, and bowling pretty much sums it up. We had close to 25 participants and raised about $270 to fight diabetes, all while having a good time.
Fall Bowling Fundraiser - Plaza Lanes in Plymouth
In November of 2009, about 25 bowlers raised about $340 for the American Diabetes Association at our first bowling fundraiser. Everyone had a good time, although we were disappointed at the turnout.
